FAQs

  • A typical CL meeting is approximately three hours (One hour for teaching and two hours for check-in).

  • Sixteen months

  • Each meeting consists of one hour for teaching and two hours for check-in.

  • A CL Small Group is twelve individuals meeting weekly for teaching, check-in, accountability, and community.

  • We do not have a referral service setup, but we highly encourage members to be in individual or marriage counseling. A person who attends counseling as well as a group will exponentially increase their chance of finding freedom.

  • CL is different in that we focus on accountability, community, discipleship, and transformation through the power of Jesus Christ. Each session includes a one hour teaching and then the group is separated into two small groups for an interactive check-in. Group members are required to communicate through a chat app with their small group and small group leaders throughout the week. Our focus is not considered recovery. Changing Lanes is focused on transformation leading to lives being restored.

  • CL is an independent ministry. God lead our founder, Brett Hendrix, to start helping men in 2007.

  • We do offer resources within CL for partners of CL members. Please contact Brittany at brittany@changinglanes.org for more information.

  • The cost depends on the option of your participation in the group. In-person attendance is $1200. On-line attendance is $1,520.

  • The reason most people join CL is due to the secrets they have kept for years. To help a CL member find transformation, we require a member to join his group weekly, participate in the teaching discussion, learn the verse given each week, complete homework and/or reading assignments before the next meeting, share transparently during check-in, engage with their group regularly throughout the week via a group message, and weekly meet with their assigned accountability partner.
