New Life in Christ

Spring has finally sprung! The cold blasts of air and wintery weather mix finally blows away and in comes warmer weather patterns, new green growth, and plenty of fresh things to alert you it’s allergy season.

Just recently, the entire world observed Easter. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus is what sets Him apart from anybody else on the timeline of history. It’s been said before that Jesus was either...

  • a Liar and his claims were false

  • a Lunatic and He was down right crazy

  • or He is Lord and His claims were true.

Changing Lanes offers hope found in a new life. That new life is from Jesus.

A well known pastor once said something pointed about the point in history when Jesus was physically raised from the dead:

“The resurrection is not a stupendous magic trick but an invasion.”

When we find Christ, and I mean truly find him in all his depth, wonder, and passion, then we should be absolutely invaded by Him. Our findings in Jesus should overwhelm us and undo us by His awesomeness, His grace, and His love. The same death Jesus died, and the same life Jesus lived…he offers to us.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

Galatians 2:20

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Philippians 1:21

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

Romans 12:1

Casting off the old ways may seem difficult. For anyone who has experienced the confines of addiction or has seen loved ones navigate the strongholds of sexual sin, it came seem unbearable.

But God…

The pastor goes on to say…

“Christians see hard things as indeed hard and not to be sought, but we have been armed with this great truth, namely that when received with faith in God, hard things lead to the best things.”

Freedom in Christ was not free. Jesus paid for our new life.

Freedom in Christ is free. Jesus paid with His own life.

Freedom in Christ is New Life.
